FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need a water softener?
Common signs of hard water include white scale on faucets and glass shower doors, spotty dishes, soap that does not lather well and buildup in water heaters. A water consultation can confirm hardness and whether a softener makes sense for your home.
What is the difference between a softener and whole-house filtration?
A softener exchanges hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium. Whole-house filtration — often carbon — is aimed at things like chlorine taste and odor or sediment. Many homes use both, but the right combination depends on your water.
Do you work on existing water-treatment equipment?
Yes. We service, repair and maintain existing water-treatment equipment. Whether a particular unit can be repaired depends on its condition and parts availability.
Do you service systems you did not install?
Yes, in many cases. Tell us the brand and type of system when you contact us so we can let you know what to expect.
What is reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis pushes water through a very fine membrane along with pre- and post-filters. It is commonly installed under the kitchen sink to provide drinking water from a dedicated faucet.
Can you treat well water with iron or sulfur odor?
Iron staining and sulfur (rotten-egg) odor are common well-water concerns, and there are treatment options for both. The right approach depends on what the water contains, so we start by looking at your water.
Do you offer equipment maintenance?
Yes. We provide maintenance and filter service for water-treatment equipment and water heaters.
How often should RO filters be changed?
It varies with your water and how much you use. Many pre-filters are changed roughly every 6 to 12 months and membranes less often — follow the manufacturer's guidance for your system, and we can help set a schedule.
What should I do if my water softener stops working?
Check that it has salt, that it is plugged in and that the bypass valve is in the service position. If it still is not softening, contact us to schedule service.
What areas do you service?
We serve Central Florida, including Orange, Seminole, Lake and Volusia Counties. See our Service Areas page for the full list.
Do you offer financing?
Please ask us about payment options when you contact us.
Is the water consultation free?
Initial water-treatment consultation is complimentary. On-site diagnostic or service fees may apply depending on the requested service.
